Fog on the First of October

On my way to the Pumpkin Fest, I saw the fog and knew there would be picture taking opportunites. Nothing else needs to be said: "Let the fog in and the sun will create beauty."

The Party isn't Until mid-October

"Hey, Fall!"

"You arrived early, but since we're good friends and all, you can just hang around until the party starts."
("...too bad you brought Wind and Rain along, they weren't invited for a reason.")

Maybe it's the fact I get to wrap a scarf around my head when I forget a knit hat, maybe it's the burning wood smell from neighbors' chimneys, or maybe it's all the leaves, feathers, and mushrooms on the ground...but welcome to my favorite time of year...scary to think of the season that follows this time of beautiful color, but right now we will live in the moment with jackets zipped and mittens in reserve.
