If I hadn't bragged to you about how much lake glass I had found the other weekend then I guess you should call more often. Anywho, I found a bunch and have been pondering what to do with it all. Rather than become the hoarder that some of you already think I am when it comes to lake glass, driftwood and stones, I came up with a crafty solution.

Check out my new pieces under the title of "yup". The idea is beng an Upper Peninusla Yuppie. What it translates to is funny sayings and using up vintage materials, oh, and shopping more at thrift stores.

Really there was a Mosquito on the back of your Head

Four day weekend, you tired me out. Trout Lake, St. Ignace, and a moose sighting.

I'm too exhausted to write any funny stories. Just enjoy the pics. and I'll figure out what to type later, as soon as my hands stop swatting with their muscle memory at invisible mosquitoes, a carry over trait from the weekend attacks.

Let's use up some driftwood and make room for more!

Driftwood and Painted Fabric, Makes me Want to Throw Everything Aside and Run to the Lake

My newest piece(s). First is a piece I created earlier, but had to make some modifications. Repurposed thrift store frame with painted fabric, frame dimensions: 16.5"x21.5". Following my Lake Superior Blues series. Making use of what you have and what you see.

The second piece is following along the lines of two of my previous driftwood fashioned frames with silk screen fabric inserts, frame dimensions: 18.5"x23". This piece is created specifically in mind of driftwood found along the shores of Lake Superior and of course utilizes that exact material. The Big Lake deposits driftwood on the beaches haphazardly, but the pieces pile up with some direction and almost seems purposeful.
