It happens more often then I'd like to admit, I am so engrossed in looking for lake glass that a wave ends up sloshing me with my shoes and socks still on. End result: hiking back a mile or two in wet pants, socks, and shoes with a smile on my face because of three small pieces of lake glass. The joys of Lake Superior are endless.
Oh, and there's just something about red mushrooms growing on a tree that makes my heart flutter.
