Life in the U.P. is about as wonderful as it gets. A girl who grew up with a mall less than a mile from home and went to try big city living in Detroit and Grand Rapids, may have just found her ideal locale. Trying hard to take in all that the U.P. has to offer is made easier with Beautiful Sunday Lake in view, wonderful parks to explore, and neighbors and locals so kind and genuine you may never want to leave.
Hi Amy - I have a love for old barns that look like they need a lot of TLC. Don't know why they have such a draw but I just like the way they look. Your pictures of them are really good. I am sure you didnt have to look too far for them. Our lilacs are done. My daughter's in Rogers City are perfect. We are counting the days till we are at LGP. Two months from today we will be camping our first night. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteAmy, that is just part of the reason Beth and I have been friends for so long; we both have a love for the same things. I just love these pictures and especially the close ups of the bird houses. I wonder if your cousin will be able to get such pictures on his end of the U.P. :o) I hope you can meet Beth when she is up there.
ReplyDeleteyah, Beth...this barn location is one of the plein aire sites open to the public on August 19th...no need to paint or draw, you can also photograph...I should try and meet you while you're in our area...any excuse to go to the Big Lake is al I need
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet you - our campsite loves visitors - we always camp on the bend. This year our sites include 10, 11, 6, 4 and 8. I personally will be camped at 11. That's our group site where we eat and hang out. If you get a chance I'd love to meet you! It is amazing how many years can pass and Laurie and I still have so much in common.
